Diagnosis and control problems
prevalence of hypertensives in Mexico

The hypothesis that more than 25% of the Mexican population has hypertension, based on the INSP data from this year, was tested to correct the claim "one in four Mexicans has hypertension". The hypothesis test showed enough evidence from the sample to reject the null hypothesis. Thus, it can be affirmed that more than 25% of the current population suffers from high blood pressure. Therefore, the claim "one in four Mexicans has hypertension" should be changed to "more than 3 out of 10 Mexicans have hypertension" to reflect the reality more accurately.
